Donald Trump explodes 'how can you?' at Melania as tense exchange revealed by lip reader

A lip reader has analyzed what Donald Trump and Melania Trump were saying to each other in viral footage showing them having an animated discussion on the South Lawn this week

A lip reader has revealed what was said between Donald Trump and Melania Trump after a video of their seemingly heated exchange went viral.

The remarkable footage shows the former US President and First Lady in an intense finger-pointing discussion through the windows of Marine One. The scene was captured on the South Lawn on Wednesday night.

The video quickly spread like wildfire on social media, drawing parallels with the unforgettable moment when Emmanuel Macron was pushed by Brigitte back in May.

During the exchange, Trump is seen gesturing at Melania who shakes her head, and expert lip reader Jeremy Freeman has given his interpretation of the conversation.

Jeremy suggests that Trump was discussing the "escalator-gate" incident at the United Nations General Assembly this week, rather than venting his frustrations about something Melania did.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, Jeremy believes Melania said: "You just continued..." To which Trump responded: "It was unbelievable." Then, Melania retorted with: "Just say it and leave it.."

Seemingly taken aback, Trump then replied: "How can you do that..." Not long after, the power couple disembarked from the helicopter and crossed the lawn hand in hand.

The incident involving a malfunctioning escalator at the UN General Assembly in Manhattan led to Trump posting on Truth Social: "It's amazing that Melania and I didn't fall forward onto the sharp edges of these steel steps, face first. It was only because we were each holding the handrail tightly or, it would have been a disaster."

Earlier this year, after a video of Brigitte Macron playfully slapping her husband, French President Emmanuel Macron, aboard an aircraft went viral, Trump offered some advice.

Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked Trump: "There was a video of the First Lady of France slapping her husband, Emmanuel Macron. Do you have any world leader-to-world leader marital advice?"

"Make sure the door remains closed," he responded. "That was not good. I spoke to him. He's fine. They're fine.

"They're two really good people. I know him very well, and I don't know what that was all about. But I know him very well, and they're fine."

It comes after the White House revealed the Secret Service would be investigating claims of "sabotage" at the UN during Trump's visit.

Karoline Leavitt, the president's press secretary, said the UN staffers were "basically plotting to set up" the US President. She told Fox News that "the audio inside of the room was much lower and different for the president of the United States than the previous speakers".
