'I asked toddler what she had in her pockets and was floored when she showed me'

A mom has shared the funny habit her young daughter has when playing outside, as her pockets always end up full of unexpected things - and people are seriously impressed

A mom named Amy was left in stitches when she asked her toddler to empty her pockets after a day of outdoor play, only to discover an array of unexpected treasures.

Every parent has tales of the wild and wacky things their kids have done while growing up. Children, with their innate curiosity and love for play, often create hilarious memories that families cherish for years. One such mom is Amy from Northern California, who recently shared her young daughter Johnny's amusing habit of filling her pockets with surprising items during her outdoor adventures. In the video, the little girl stands barefoot in front of the camera, wearing a pair of overalls, and is eagerly waiting to reveal her collected treasures to her mom.

"How many animals do you have in your pockets," Amy captioned the start of the video, which begins with her toddler standing outside holding one creature in each hand.

Johnny then proudly displays a frog and a snake she's holding, with the snake identified as a harmless common garter snake, known for its non-aggressive nature towards humans.

Amy proceeds to inspect the large pocket on Johnny's overalls, revealing yet another snake. But the surprises don't stop there - Johnny's side pockets each contain a small snake as well.

"Do you want to hold them," Johnny offers, extending the snake she had been holding towards her mom.

"Sure, I'd love to hold him," the mom responded as she took the snake into her free hand. Johnny then asked if she wanted to hold one of the snakes he had in his pocket, which she agreed to, ending the video to prepare her other hand.

"Pockets full and heart full," the mom captioned the video, adding a red heart emoji.

This isn't a new occurrence, as Amy frequently posts on her Instagram account, 'mama_and_johnnys_daily_play', sharing the various creatures she discovers in her daughter's pockets.

Viewers quickly flooded the comments section with their reactions to the adorable moment, many admitting they wouldn't have remained as composed as the mom did.

"We are not the same. But I love this for you," commented one viewer, while another added: "They just know he's a Disney character and trust him so much, like they're all so calm.

"Momma must always check those pockets at the end of the day," joked a third person, followed by a crying laughing emoji. Another viewer chimed in: "Get. This. Child. MORE. POCKETS! ! ! !".

Another comment read: "Man. To be a well loved toddler who just gets to be outside in overalls and picking up snakes."
