Katy Perry no longer 'scared' by Justin Trudeau's 'persistent advances'
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are dating and an insider has confirmed the couple are fully "exclusive" and the singer "didn't seem to care" they were pictured kissing
Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are now officially an item after the pop superstar finally caved to the politician's relentless pursuit, according to reports.
The duo have reportedly been texting and video calling for quite some time and, last week, photographers caught them locking lips on her luxury yacht just off Santa Barbara, California.
An insider has now revealed the pair are completely "exclusive," with Katy, 40, apparently so smitten she "didn't seem to care" about being photographed with Justin last month. Justin, 53, had been chasing after the singer for months, sources claim. The news emerges as Katy Perry fans still asking one question as she kicks off tour.
The insider revealed: "Justin was persistent when it came to dating Katy. She enjoys his company and thinks he is incredibly smart, but she was initially scared to get into anything so fast, or even at all, after her breakup and she was also focusing on her world tour. But Justin continued to be present, continued showing up and wanting to be with her."
Katy is set to take the stage in London tonight before heading across Europe for shows that won't wrap until November 7 in France, reports the Mirror.
But Justin has already made it to at least one of the superstar's performances - catching her Montreal, Canada, show back in July following an intimate dinner date in the city.
It appears Justin has successfully convinced Katy to make things official with friends and family.
This marks a major milestone for both celebrities, especially for Katy who ended her relationship with actor Orlando Bloom earlier this year - the father of her four year old daughter Daisy. The pair had been an item since 2016, with the British actor getting down on one knee on Valentine's Day in 2019, presenting a massive flower-shaped diamond ring, rumored to be valued at $5 million (£3.75 million).
Regarding Perry's ex's thoughts on her new romance, a second source revealed to the Daily Mail that the singer "doesn't know what Orlando thinks about Justin and she doesn't care."
The insider continued: "He's free to do whatever he wants too. She's happy and having fun, which she's allowed to do. So is he."
Meanwhile, Justin is adjusting to civilian life after stepping down from 24 Sussex in January amid a shocking downfall.
He had served as Canada's leader for almost a decade.
He shares three kids, including R&B artist Xavier - known as Xav - with former wife Sophie Grégoire, from whom he split in 2023.
Justin is currently co-parenting Xavier and his two younger kids with ex-TV presenter Sophie after their nearly 20-year marriage came to an end.
