Harry Styles could run New York City Marathon after impressive Berlin race
Harry Styles recently completed the Berlin Marathon, and now fans are wondering if he'll run in the New York City Marathon
The New York City Marathon is coming up this weekend, so thousands of runners are gearing up to hit the roads for 26.2 miles.
Last year’s event was the biggest marathon in the world with 55,642 participants. Given the vast amount of people, there’s no doubt you could be running next to major celebrities.
Harry Styles, 31, completed the Berlin Marathon on Sept. 21, so fans are wondering if he will be running in New York City next. He’s recently been spotted handing out with Zoë Kravitz in Brooklyn’s Williamsburg neighborhood, leaving some to suspect he could be training in the city.
Is Harry Styles running the New York City Marathon?
He has not come out saying he’s running the marathon, but that isn’t an affirmitive no. The former One Direction star ran in the Berlin Marathon under a false name, Sted Sarandos.
Styles is a particularly private person, and fans didn’t even know he was running in Berlin until the day of. If you’re planning on watching the New York race, keep your eyes peeled, as there’s a chance he’ll be there.
What were Harry Styles times for the Berlin Marathon?
He powered across the finish line in an impressive 2:59:13, which was a massive improvement from his 3:24:07 time when he tackled the Tokyo Marathon back in March.
His Berlin time was about a 6:50 pace. Marathon Handbook reports that a pace of 7:04 for both men and women is considered good, so Style’s pace is pretty fast.
Styles kept things low-key with dark sunglasses and a headband to manage his famous locks during the race.
The winning runner clocked in at 2:02:16.
