Demi Moore and Salma Hayek lead arrivals at showstopping Los Angeles film gala
At the 2025 LACMA Art + Film Gala celebrities brought their fashion A-game as they came out to support the philanthropic cause dedicated to furthering the initiative of LACMA
The 2025 LACMA Art + Film Gala was held this Saturday, bringing together some of Hollywood's biggest names, including Angela Bassett, Demi Moore, Quinta Brunson, Dustin Hoffman, Tessa Thompson, Elle Fanning, Finneas, Demi Lovato, and more.
Funds raised from the LACMA Art + Film Gala are used to further the Los Angeles County Museum of Art's (LACMA) goal of making film more central to the museum's curatorial programming. Money earned is also used for exhibitions, acquisitions, education, and other benefits. Each year, A-listers put on some of their finest threads to attend the extravagant event, looking glamorous as they come together to support a philanthropic cause.
Stunning at the LACMA Art + Film Gala this year were Bruce Willis' ex-wife, Demi Moore, and Salma Hayek.
The 62-year-old actress looked magical in her form-fitting, sheer black halter gown, embellished with a multi-colored, crystallized floral pattern.
Since the ensemble was somewhat see-through, some of her naked physique was visible. Demi donned a soft glam look, styling her signature long, dark hair parted down the side with a slight body wave.
The Substance star's dazzling jewelry beautifully enhanced her flashy outfit. Salma, 59, looked equally fantastic in a bright green, deep-V cut sequin gown with flared, long sleeves and a prominent bosom.
A gorgeous necklace around her neck enhanced her chest area, elevating her look to another level. For the 2025 LACMA Art + Film Gala, the museum honors artist Mary Corse, as well as Sinners and Black Panther filmmaker Ryan Coogler.
“Mary Corse has continually expanded the possibilities of painting in her exquisite works, which invite us to think deeply about the nature of perception,” LACMA CEO and Wallis Annenberg Director Michael Govan told Variety in August after the 2025 honorees were announced. “Ryan Coogler’s films do something equally transformative. Through masterful storytelling and visual innovation, he reframes history, redefines narratives, and opens new worlds of possibility. Both artists challenge us to see differently, whether through a shift in light or a shift in narrative, and that is at the heart of what museums aspire to do.”
Last year, artist Simone Leigh and director Baz Luhrmann were honored. Deadline reported that previous honorees of the Art+Film Gala also include artists, Helen Pashgian, Catherine Opie, Robert Irwin, James Turrell, Barbara Kruger and David Hockney, as well as filmmakers David Fincher, Park Chan-wook, Steven Spielberg, Alfonso Cuarón, Guillermo del Toro, George Lucas, Kathryn Bigelow, Alejandro González Iñárritu, Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Stanley Kubrick and Clint Eastwood.
Additionally, Gucci served as the sponsor for the night, and LACMA trustee Eva Chow and Leonardo DiCaprio were the co-chairs for the 14th year in a row.
