Bachelorette's Jenn Tran shares her fall skincare favorites and future plans
Jenn Tran shares her fall skincare favorites and what the future holds for her as she finishes Physician Assistant school
Jenn Tran is embarking on a new chapter in her life, and it doesn't involve roses or dance routines.
The Bachelorette and Dancing with the Stars alum is wrapping up her final year of physician assistant school in Miami, Florida, after briefly stepping away to make history as the first Asian American lead on The Bachelorette. She has had a busy past few years in the spotlight, competing on various reality TV shows.
Tran is now concentrating on her passion for science in this next phase, focusing on clinical rotations, patient care, and academic research. She has about six months left in PA school before graduation, and many fans wonder what her future looks like.
In an exclusive conversation with The Mirror US, Tran discussed her favorite fall skincare products and what lies ahead for her.
Jenn Tran's medical education shaped her approach to skincare
Tran majored in molecular biology at UW-Madison before entering her PA program, and she reveals she began establishing a solid skincare routine after graduating from college. She explains that while studying molecular biology, she gained insight into the chemicals and ingredients found in various products and their effects on skin health.
"I've always just kind of had a passion in knowing exactly why I'm putting something onto my skin," Tran says.
With countless skincare products available today, Tran says she purchases products after examining the ingredients and assessing whether the product will genuinely help her skin.
"It all comes back to just doing your research and really figuring out, why am I putting this on my skin? Why am I drinking water? Why am I doing these things?" Tran explains. Beyond her love for skincare in her everyday life, it ties directly to her professional ambitions and interests.
She authored a research paper for her program focusing on preventing sun-induced skin damage, and Tran expresses her desire to pursue a specialization in dermatology. "I am just kind of excited to incorporate the best of both worlds: my passion for skincare, and also just working in medicine as well."
Jenn Tran's fall skincare favorites
Tran builds her skincare regimen around hydrating moisturizers and serums during the fall as temperatures drop.
"Hyaluronic acid is the best product for bringing more moisture into your skin," Tran shares, "When you're going into those colder climates, and as we transition into fall, the cold weather, it's harsh on your skin."
She's a fan of L'Oréal's hyaluronic acid serum and reports seeing an instant improvement in her complexion after use.
Another go-to for the fall is Murad's Retinal ReSculpt Overnight Treatment. "It's definitely a thicker cream for the nighttime, and I've been loving it," Tran says, noting that she enjoys slugging moisturizing products on her face before heading to bed.
Rounding out her skincare routine are the Biodance Collagen Gel Toner Pads, which she calls "they're insane" because "they're drenched in collagen and hyaluronic acid," consistently delivering radiant skin.
Will Jenn Tran release her own skincare line in the future?
You may be curious whether Tran plans to launch her own skincare brand, but she confirms there are no current plans. Right now, she's concentrating on completing her education while managing her social media presence.
"I just feel like there are so many skincare lines. Do I really want to contribute to the overproduction?" Tran says. "Maybe. I don't know. It could be fun.
"I think if I ever came across some newer research that I felt like there was something really missing in the market, I would love to collab with a skincare line or create something of my own," Tran shares. However, it would need to offer something truly unique for her to move forward.
