On Friday, tickets for Florence and the Machine's album launch show at the Hackney Empire in London sold out within a minute. Due on 31 October, Ceremonials is the follow-up to the group's No 1 album Lungs. In association with LoveLive, the Guardian will be streaming the show on Tuesday 25 October in real time across the world.

The gig will cost £3.99 to view, after which fans will also be able download an official souvenir programme that will include a signed set-list and performance notes from Florence Welch. It is her only UK show this year.

Ceremonials was recorded with Welch's full band over five weeks this summer at Abbey Road studios in London. "I feel like it's a record made by someone becoming a woman, becoming a grown-up," said Welch. Early reports suggest it is no less epic than Lungs.

The Guardian will be the official media partner for the event, hosting the live stream, and offering exclusive competition tickets. The show will also be available to view for the same price at florenceandthemachine.net/.
