On Tuesday morning, action planet Mars enters daring Sagittarius, where it’ll stay until mid-December. You might struggle to stay focused, but don’t force it: Staying open to new and surprising opportunities might serve you better than rigidly sticking to the rules. Then under Wednesday’s full moon in Taurus, your stubbornness and determination could finally pay off — and any hard work you put in right now is likely to produce big rewards down the line, too. On Thursday afternoon, love planet Venus enters Scorpio. From now until the end of the month, relationships could get more passionate; while you might feel more private, even secretive, than usual, honesty and openness can prevent jealousy from taking root. Finally, Friday night, Uranus retrograde moves backward from Gemini into Taurus, where it’ll stay until April; during this time, your money situation might change unexpectedly, or you could find comfort and support in unexpected places.

Aries Weekly Horoscope

You could have energy to burn this week — but do your best to use it wisely. This might mean trying not to throw yourself into fights that you know from the outset you won’t win, and instead saving your energy for the projects where you’re likely to make a difference. It could also mean not getting involved in issues you don’t actually care about, the fights where, even if you do win, it won’t actually make your life better. Ultimately, though, only you know what’s really worth your time, so trust your gut.

Taurus Weekly Horoscope

Life isn’t always straightforward or fair; sometimes, no matter how deserving you are, you still don’t get what you want. But this week, make sure you’re at least giving yourself the best chance possible. There’s no sense in getting mad at people for not giving you things you never even asked for, or becoming resentful for not winning the contests you never entered. Your efforts aren’t guaranteed to lead to the results you want, but at the very least, do yourself the favor of putting yourself out there and giving it your all.

Gemini Weekly Horoscope

In your relationships, as well as in your life in general, it’s much easier to deal with the surface-level issues than the deep, underlying problems. So you tend to tackle the simple stuff first, in the hopes that it’ll be enough. This week, though, you might find that you’ve already picked all the low-hanging fruit — which means that if problems still remain, you’ll have to go deeper if you want to solve them. It might be a bit stressful to dig into the more serious emotional issues, but it’ll be worth it.

Cancer Weekly Horoscope

You know that pinning all your hopes on external validation — on garnering others’ praise, or winning important prizes, or hitting big, objective milestones — tends only to lead to dissatisfaction. Even if you do get what you thought you wanted, it still doesn’t give you the fulfillment you hoped for. So you generally try not to put too much stock in impressing anyone else, just yourself. This week, though, remember that just because external validation won’t solve all your problems, that doesn’t mean you need to ignore it entirely, or that you can’t enjoy it when it comes.

Leo Weekly Horoscope

Sometimes, you wish you could just go about your life peacefully, doing the things you actually want to do, rather than constantly being called on to settle conflicts, to help people, to solve problems that aren’t your fault. It might be tempting, this week, to step back, even to be willfully ignorant, assuming that if you refuse to clean up all of life’s messes, someone else will eventually have to come along and do it. Ultimately, though, it’ll be less trouble to step up and deal with things now, even if it’s annoying.

Virgo Weekly Horoscope

Sometimes, you worry that you’re asking for too much out of life. If your basic needs are met, it just seems greedy to want more. This week, though, remember that you don’t have to settle for the bare minimum. You’re allowed to want a life that’s interesting, to yearn for exciting experiences and meaningful relationships. If you’ve been feeling like something is missing, don’t try to persuade yourself that actually, everything is fine, and you should be grateful for what you have. You deserve more, and now is the time to be a bit stubborn about demanding it.

Libra Weekly Horoscope

The longer you put off a task, the larger it looms in your mind. Even the smallest things can start to seem scary; you might begin to fear that you’ve waited too long and now you’ll never manage to catch up, or to say what you need to say, or to make things right in general. But this week, stop letting your imagination run wild: Whatever you’ve been avoiding is probably much simpler than you’ve been making it out to be. If something’s been nagging at you, now is the ideal time to stop agonizing over it and just do it.

Scorpio Weekly Horoscope

You can sometimes be a bit dismissive of the entire notion of compromise. You’re not interested in building relationships that require you to sacrifice the things you care about; you’d rather fight for what you need than just roll over and give up. But this week, try to be a bit more open to accommodating the interests of the people you love. It doesn’t have to mean being taken advantage of — if you’re willing to be a little flexible, you can find a solution that genuinely works for everyone.

Sagittarius Weekly Horoscope

Other people might try to convince you that your dreams aren’t feasible, or that you have to make the same choices they have. Mostly, you try not to take their discouraging words to heart, but lately, it’s been hard. You’ve started to worry that you’re just being foolishly stubborn, that maybe everyone else really does understand what you need better than you do. But this week, don’t give up on yourself. While you don’t know everything, nobody else does, either, so don’t feel pressured to ignore your own instincts.

Capricorn Weekly Horoscope

You sometimes worry that it’s a bit frivolous to want to have fun. First and foremost, you want to do good work, to create something meaningful and make the world a better place; if you end up enjoying yourself along the way, that’s lovely, but it’s only a side effect, not the main goal. This week, though, consider that you might be holding yourself to an impossible standard; nobody can be serious and high-minded all the time. Just for now, take a break from being productive, and give yourself permission to just do what feels good.

Aquarius Weekly Horoscope

For the most part, you trust your own judgment absolutely. But occasionally, when you make enough mistakes in a row — or when you make one really big error — that faith in yourself starts to slip; if you’re not careful, you might really start spiraling, questioning every move you’ve ever made, even doubting your worthiness as a person. And while learning from your missteps is important, being unreasonably hard on yourself only makes that more difficult. This week, focus on growing, not on punishing yourself for your imperfections.

Pisces Weekly Horoscope

You probably aren’t the sort of person to accept everything at face value — you want to dig deeper, to uncover the more profound emotional truths beneath the surface of what people say. This could mean, though, that you have a tendency to read too deeply into things. There aren’t always hidden meanings; sometimes, people genuinely do say exactly what they mean. This week, stay open to the possibility that the truth is right in front of you, and your job isn’t to pry and investigate and analyze, but simply to accept it.
