    Yes, all Tesco Mobile pay monthly phones are unlocked. This means you can use them with any compatible network. If you ever need to unlock your device, Tesco Mobile offers a free unlocking service. Simply complete an online unlocking request, and you'll receive a code and instructions within 7 days.

  • What are pay monthly phones?

    With pay monthly phone contracts, you pay an amount each month for a set period – usually between 12 to 36 months. This covers the cost of your phone and your usage (minutes, texts and data). With Clubcard price deals the monthly cost is fixed for the duration of the contract.

  • When do you pay the first month of a phone contract?

    When you take out a pay monthly phone contract with us, you pay your first month in advance. So you have a record of this payment, we show it on your first bill under ‘Payments Received’.

  • What do I do if I can’t pay my monthly phone bill?

    We understand that sometimes your circumstances can change. If you’re worried about paying your bill, you can temporarily defer your payments via My Account. For more info, please head to our help page.

  • Can I get a pay monthly phone with bad credit?

    Getting a pay monthly phone can be more challenging if you have bad credit. If you don’t get accepted for a phone contract, a SIM only contract may be more obtainable – and it’ll allow you to improve your credit score to potentially get a pay monthly phone in the future.

  • Changes to the 3G network

    We’re making big changes to our network. Like the UK’s other mobile providers, we’ll be switching off our 3G service later this year. This will help us improve our 4G and 5G network, so more people across the UK can benefit from faster, more reliable connections.
