Obituary
Bernard Overly, 66, of Telford, PA, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022, at his residence.
Born in Quakertown PA, he was the son of the late Charles L. and Marion (Merkel) Overly.
He was employed as a Machinist and Inspector for Penn Manufacturing in Montgomeryville, PA for many years.
Mr. Overly loved playing Chess, and spending time with his grandchildren. He also was known for smoking his pipe with his favorite black cherry tobacco. He loved classic Rock music, especially the Beatles. Bernard also enjoyed building and launching model rockets and anything pertaining to aviation. He also enjoyed watching baseball games.
Bernard is survived by a son, Harry and his fiancé Carolyn Metzger of Quakertown, daughters: Margaret Kruger and her husband Zachary of Quakertown, and Caroline Overly of Lancaster, PA, grandchildren: Adam, Teddy, and Madelyn. Bernard is also survived by a sister, Judy O’Donnell and her husband Jack of Hatfield. Bernard was preceded in death by daughter, Julie Leister.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday May 20th at 11:00 AM at the Sadler-Suess Funeral Home, 33 N. Main Street, Telford, PA 18969. Family will receive friends from 10:00 am until time of service. Interment will follow in St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery, Spinnerstown, PA.
