Opening date for new-look Stoke-on-Trent pub after HighTales brand ditched

The new-look Hem Heath opens in October

A pub is preparing to reopen - after ditching its short-lived new brand. Hem Heath - on Trentham Lakes - is currently shut for a refurbishment and due to reopen on Monday 6 October.

The Stanley Matthews Way venue has been shut since August after hospitality chain Greene King ditched its HighTales brand.

Now old manager Elliot Bennett is back to run Hem Heath once again.

In a social media post to customers, the venue stated: "A whole lot of graft is going in to bring your new Flaming Grill to life. It won’t be long until our grill is all fired up, ready for you. Your all-new Flaming Grill will be the best seat in town for sports."
