STAR WARS ON DISNEY+

Databank: The Bad Batch

All
All
  • Rancor

    default

    Rancor

Rancors are towering hulks of muscle and reptilian flesh that walk on two stubby legs and use their disproportionately long arms to capture prey. A salivating, tooth-filled maw dominates their flat faces, and their armored skin is so tough that they can shrug off blaster bolts as little more than annoyances. While not inherently vicious -- Felucia’s farmers co-existed relatively peaceably with spined, brightly colored jungle rancors -- these creatures were prized as trophies by crimelords and other wealthy, amoral individuals. Jabba the Hutt kept a rancor in a shadowy chamber beneath his Tatooine throne room. After Luke Skywalker killed the beast, an outraged Jabba ordered the public execution of the Jedi and his friends.

  • Saw Gerrera

    default

    Saw Gerrera

A battered veteran of the Clone Wars, at the dawn of the Empire Saw Gerrera continues to lead a band of insurgents and extremists, the first of what will become countless rebel cells locked in a civil war with the Empire. Saw loses much in his decades of combat, but occasional flashes of the charismatic and caring man he once was shine through his calloused exterior. Even in his later years, when Gerrera is bunkered on the ancient world of Jedha, coordinating a prolonged insurgency against the Imperial occupation, his ailing health does little to wither his resolve to fight.

  • Bail Organa

    default

    Bail Organa

A member of Alderaan's royal family and the planet's representative to the Republic Senate since the time of the Clone Wars, Bail Organa earned respect on Coruscant for his honesty and his commitment to justice. Prior to the fall of the Republic, Bail served alongside Senator Padmé Amidala as a member of Chancellor Palpatine's Loyalist Committee. The two became close friends, and recruited like-minded allies to prevent Palpatine's alarming grabs for power. At the end of the war, Bail Organa adopted Padmé's daughter Leia and raised her as an Alderaanian princess. While representing Alderaan in the Imperial Senate, he continued to work secretly with allies such as Mon Mothma and Ahsoka Tano to assist rebel cells scattered across the galaxy, working towards the day that a unified Rebellion could emerge.

  • Raxus

    default

    Raxus

The capital of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, Raxus was a lush world in the Outer Rim. The Separatist Senate met on Raxus, with Count Dooku generally presiding via hologram. The planet was the site of secret discussions between the Republic’s Padmé Amidala and her old friend, Separatist Senator Mina Bonteri, which led to a brief-lived Separatist peace proposal. Later in the war, Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos tried and failed to assassinate Dooku on Raxus.

  • Zygerrian

    default

    Zygerrian

The Zygerrians were a powerful people in the days of the Old Republic, before the Jedi Knights tore down their empire of slavery. When slavery was outlawed in Republic space, the Jedi Knights liberated countless beings from bondage, and the despicable trade the Zygerrians excelled in was pushed into the shadows of the underworld and beyond, with some operating in the ruins of places like Old Ord Mantell City. After the end of the Clone Wars, some Zygerrians are actively plotting a return to the old ways.

  • Wayland

    default

    Wayland

On the world of Wayland, the Empire has hidden a secret military operation in the peak of Mount Tantiss. Concealed by the jagged landscape, deep underground Imperial scientists are continuing the work that began on Kamino, harnessing a deeper understanding of cloning technology at Emperor Palpatine's behest.

  • Veelo

    default

    Veelo

The world of Veelo holds many dangers for those who dare to tread here. The atmosphere is noxious for many travelers without proper equipment. But even those who survive their first steps must contend with mines dotting the murky waters and swamps teeming with hungry gryzards hunting for their next meal.

  • Skara Nal

    default

    Skara Nal

Skara Nal is a desolate place, uninhabitable by most sentient beings and creatures of the galaxy. There are no cities or other signs of civilizations on the vast, barren landscape, just fossilized rock and dull stone outcroppings marking the inhospitable resting place of a storied treasure.

  • Silla

    default

    Silla

Life on the temperate world of Silla is usually slow-paced and serene, with villages spread over the soft grasslands. But in the age of the Empire, the arrival of a downed Imperial cruiser and its dangerous cargo brings an end to the culture, with citizens rounded up by soldiers and whisked away from their homes to quell the panic amid the chaos.

  • Saleucami

    default

    Saleucami

A world of mixed terrain, from dank, swampy environments marked with strange bulbous plant-life, to arid deserts, Saleucami is an Outer Rim planet that remained untouched by the Clone Wars through most of the fighting. The settlers on Saleucami wished to avoid the destruction of warfare, and live out a simple existence at peace, only doing battle with the elements. Unfortunately, combat did come to Saleucami -- it was a major battle site during the Outer Rim Sieges of the Clone Wars -- and even after the end of the Clone Wars, the long arm of Imperial law sought to bring a new order to the once peaceful planet.

  • Setron

    default

    Setron

The jungle planet of Setron holds many secrets — and pungent aromas. Previously serving as the location of one of the Empire’s secret medical bases, the facility was abandoned, bombed out, and has now been given over to nature. But the slither vines and other Imperial experiments that have consumed the structure pose a deadly threat to all those who visit.

  • Ryloth

    default

    Ryloth

Ryloth is the principal planet in the Ryloth system located in the Outer Rim near Tatooine. It is home to the Twi'leks, a humanoid species with two large, fleshy head-tails growing from their skulls. The Twi'leks call these prehensile appendages lekku and can communicate through subtle lekku gestures, although they also speak Twi'leki. During the Clone Wars, scheming Separatist warlords blockaded and invaded Ryloth, hoping to steal its riches. But after the war, dreams of a free Ryloth evaporated under the iron fist of Imperial occupation.
