Jason Clinkscales

Jason Clinkscales is a reporter and editor for the breaking news team at Sportico. With a keen focus on the business of sports television, he has written for Awful Announcing, The Comeback, Sports Media Watch, Decider, Dime Magazine and The Week. He was a former editor and contributing writer at Yardbarker as well as the editor-in-chief of The Sports Fan Journal. As a beat reporter on the New York Giants for the weekly newspaper, the New York Beacon, Jason and his backpack went viral in 2010 during a not-so-empty but hilarious press conference with Eli Manning. While building his writing chops, Jason worked as a research analyst for a media planning/buying firm and several TV networks, compiling television ratings and consumer insights for ad sales and network programming teams. Jason caught the media bug at Babson College (class of 2004) where he was extensively involved with its internet-only radio station. He received his MBA in Media Management from Metropolitan College of New York in 2011. From Harlem by way of The Bronx, he patiently waits for a New York Knicks championship.
