Although a specific reason had not been cited at press time, CBS will air a full week of repeat episodes of “Beyond the Gates” next week.
The network will air encores of the show’s first five episodes during the week of June 30-July 4, 2025, marking the first time the individual episodes will have been rebroadcast on CBS, excluding encores that aired on BET in March.
As of the Friday, June 27 episode, “Beyond the Gates” has aired 83 episodes since it premiered on February 24.
In a trailer touting the show, the network highlights the daytime drama series as part of its “CBS Soapy Summer” lineup, which also includes “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” though the latter two are set to air all-new episodes next week, including an original on the Independence Day (Friday, July 4) holiday.
Utilizing words said by Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) to help recap what’s been going on with the show’s characters, the trailer also uses quotes from major media publications like USA Today, Entertainment Weekly and Washington Post to entice new viewers to tune in to all the drama happening in the fictional Fairmont Crest, where the soap opera is set.

Created by veteran soap opera writer Michele Val Jean (“The Bold and the Beautiful,” “General Hospital”), “Beyond the Gates” is set in the leafy Maryland suburb of Fairmont Crest, located just outside of Washington, D.C. and in one of the most affluent African American counties in the United States. Inside the posh gated community with winding tree-lined streets and luxurious mansions that the rich call home, you’ll find at the center of everything the Duprees, a prestigious and powerful multi-generational family who are the very definition of Black royalty. Behind the pristine walls of lush, manicured gardens are juicy secrets and scandals waiting to be uncovered, while those outside the gates watch closely. Ultimately, the battle between those who’ve “made it” and those who haven’t will collide as they try to navigate life, some with more grace than others.
Val Jean is also the show’s head writer, executive producer and showrunner. Additional executive producers include Tracey Thomson, Sheila Ducksworth, Julie Carruthers, Leon W. Russell, Derrick Johnson, Kimberly Doebereiner and Anna Saalfeld.
Robert Guza Jr., who had been an executive producer and co-head writer at the show since its launch, has exited. Thomson is the show’s new co-head writer.
