City Construction Projects

The Capital Improvement Program, commonly called the CIP, is the City's multiyear plan for major investments in streets, water and wastewater systems, public facilities, parks, transportation, and related infrastructure. It helps the City coordinate project timing, available funding, engineering, procurement, and construction.

Projects are evaluated based on asset condition, public safety, regulatory requirements, funding eligibility, lifecycle cost, project readiness, and community impact. Inclusion in the CIP does not necessarily mean that construction has started or that a contract has been awarded.

The adopted FY 2026-27 CIP includes $8,816,130 for the street, water, wastewater, and facility improvement categories represented on this website.

These are adopted budget amounts, not contract awards or final project costs. The full Public Works CIP also includes equipment and information technology purchases that are not displayed as construction projects on this website.

Rehabilitate priority street segments, improve pavement planning, address accessible parking and sidewalk needs, and advance active transportation and crosswalk improvements.

Replace and rehabilitate aging water mains, wells, pressure-regulating valves, storage, pumping equipment, and emergency power systems.

Repair or replace aging sewer mains and manholes using system inspections and master-planning information to identify priority locations.

Improve public restrooms, historic facilities, the Aquatic Center, accessible parking, emergency generators, and electric vehicle charging infrastructure.

Project pages are updated as information becomes available. Depending on the project phase, information may include the scope, location, schedule, adopted budget, contractor or consultant, authorized agreement amount, progress photos, and public project documents.

An adopted project budget is a planning and funding authorization. It is not the same as an awarded contract. An authorized contract amount is the maximum amount approved under an agreement, while the final project cost is determined after approved changes, final invoices, acceptance, and closeout.

Project schedules and costs may change due to design requirements, permits, procurement results, funding availability, utility coordination, field conditions, weather, material availability, or required approvals.
