Season 9 of Selling Sunset has arrived on Netflix, and so has the curiosity around Emma Hernan’s “very, very rich” boyfriend, Blake Davis — at least per Chelsea Lazkani.
Davis is still somewhat of a mystery to Selling Sunset fans since she first began dating him in 2024. He filmed a few scenes about looking at properties with her for Season 8, but they ultimately got cut, which disappointed the real estate agent.
“…Producers came to me and they said that they really wanted to see my love life and who I’m dating,” Hernan told Us Weekly ahead of the Season 9 premiere. “I opened up my life, and what happened was the complete opposite from what we filmed.”
This time around, viewers saw the 33-year-old TV personality’s love life take a front seat in the Selling Sunset storyline, which brings us back to Lazkani’s quote about Davis’ wealth. Is Hernan’s on-again, off-again boyfriend really that rich?
Let’s take a closer look at his net worth to find out.

			What Is Blake Davis’ Job?
Hernan’s 28-year-old boyfriend works as “a multi-family real estate developer,” per his Blake Davis Properties website, but that isn’t his only interest. In addition to real estate, Davis’ Blake’s “other investment strategy emphasizes acquiring raw land for long-term holding, capitalizing on appreciating real estate markets, hard money lending, and other strategic joint ventures from a large array of fields to build generational wealth for his future family.” He’s an entrepreneur from every angle!
Where Does His Money Come From?
Davis explained on his website that he’s also involved with his family’s business, which is “known for its renowned and extensive portfolio of multi-family units throughout the United States.” There is definitely some generational wealth going on, but Hernan also added to the mystique with a reference to microwave popcorn.
“He is…a real estate heir, you could say. His dad also was part of inventing microwave popcorn, but his real estate is what made the real money,” she said on Season 9, per The Tab. Microwave popcorn was discovered by Percy L. Spencer, a researcher at Raytheon in Waltham, Massachusetts, in 1946, so it’s unclear what Hernan is referencing — perhaps they invested in a microwave popcorn company?
What Is Blake Davis’ Net Worth?
His net worth isn’t revealed on any celebrity financial sites because he’s just getting started in his reality career, but The Cinemaholic estimated his fortune to be around $5 billion. That definitely falls in the category of “very, very rich.”
Davis is not shy about flaunting his wealth on his Instagram page, sharing snapshots his luxury life. His biography on his business site boasted about his passion for collecting “art, historical documents, and artifacts to an impressive watch collection, featuring over 1,000 timepieces from more than 50 brands, showcasing his refined taste and dedication to timeless craftsmanship” on his website. Plus, he spends his time on a 130-foot yacht, the Trust Fun, and at “one of his estates balancing his professional drive with moments of relaxation and pleasure.”
