DOE - Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage - 2016!09!07
Carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technologies will play a critical role in addressing climate change by enabling deep decarbonization of power plants and industrial facilities. While CCUS is necessary to meet emissions reduction targets in a cost-effective way, its widespread deployment requires improvements to lower costs and overcome technical challenges. A combination of policies including tax incentives and continued research, development, demonstration and deployment can help advance CCUS technologies and make them economically viable for reducing greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel and biomass energy sources.
