Scottish Curling Academy
The Scottish Curling Academy Programme is funded by sportscotland and is the first step on the Scottish/British Curling Performance Pathway. We aim to invest support in athletes and coaches who are fully committed to a Development Programme with the prospect and ultimate outcome of being able to medal at World level.
Scottish Curling intends to build a strong pathway which delivers and aligns with the World Class Programme and which identifies and develops athletes and coaches.
The Scottish Curling Academy hosts two programmes:
- The National Academy, with training commitments in the National Curling Academy (NCA), in The Peak, Stirling
- The Regional/Local Academy based in local ice rinks with players and their coaches invited to attend the NCA for a maximum of three sessions or camps per year.
In season 2025-26 we will introduce a split in Regional Academy, to align with our competition age structure. There will now be both an U17 and U21 Regional Academy.
