Bio
I decided to audition for the Rider Cheer Team this year because I have been part of the team previously and it was a fulfilling experience I wish to continue and be part of. Spending time with the girls, game days and many other wonderful things I and the team get to experience is something I never want to give up!
My favourite Rider Cheer memory is when we went to Vancouver for 2024 Grey Cup Festival and being able to dance during the Jonas Brothers halftime performance. Aside from the Jonas Brothers, being able to share that experience with our team and all the other cheer teams across the CFL will always be memorable to me! Oh, and home game 4th quarter stretch is always awesome.
A bit more about Taylor
Taylor has always loved staying active, and growing up, her dad encouraged her to try everything—from swimming to skating. While those didn’t quite stick, dance was the one thing that truly captured her heart. She started dancing at the age of 12 in Saskatoon and hasn’t looked back since. Taylor continues to train in a variety of styles, but her favourites are jazz, hip hop, and contemporary.
At 19, as studio dance started to slow down, she knew she was ready for something more. That’s when she auditioned for the Saskatchewan Rush O16 Electric Crew — she has proudly been dancing with them for the past five years. Shortly after, she joined the Rider Cheer Team and has had the privilege of being part of this incredible group for the past three seasons. Right now, she’s not rushing into post-secondary education. Instead, she has been working in retail for the past six years and is enjoying this time to grow, gain experience, and figure out what’s next.
