It’s a joy when a new drama arrives with little fanfare or expectation, yet steadily grows to become a bona-fide hit. That’s what happened with this superlative Belfast-set police drama. With established actors Richard Dormer and John Lynch, plus newcomers Katherine Devlin and Nathan Braniff, it stars Siân Brooke as a social-workerturned-officer getting to grips with a fraught beat. Drugs, gang warfare and stretched resources are all explored with exceptional performances and scriptwriting, while the cliffhanger endings make it a perfect binge watch.
