Brush Your Fangs 2026 Poster Contest
Healthy Smiles for Halloween!
In celebration of Halloween and the importance of healthy smiles, the Placer County Oral Health Program invites students in Kindergarten through 6th grade to participate in the Brush Your Fangs 2026 Poster Contest for a chance to win exciting prizes!
Students are encouraged to get creative and design an original poster that shows how they keep their smiles healthy by including healthy habits such as brushing their teeth, drinking water, making healthy choices, and practicing good oral hygiene.
Submitted artwork may be used by the Placer County Oral Health Program for promotional and educational purposes to help encourage healthy smiles throughout the community.
Who Can Enter?
The contest is open to:
• All Kindergarten through 6th grade students in Placer County.
• Students may submit one poster entry.
Poster Requirements
Submitted posters must meet the following criteria:
• Posters must be original artwork created by the student. • Posters must be created on 8½" x 11" unlined paper. • Posters must include the message "Brush Your Fangs" or another healthy smile message.
• Posters should include one or more healthy smile habits, such as:
- Brushing your teeth
- Drinking water
- Keeping your smile healthy
- Making healthy choices
- Enjoying sweet treats in moderation
• No copyrighted or trademarked characters or materials may be used. • No personal information should appear on the artwork itself.
• Only one poster submission per student will be accepted.
How to Enter
1. Create your poster on 8½" x 11" paper.
2. Include the message "Brush Your Fangs" or another healthy smile message.
3. Ask a parent or teacher to submit your poster.
4. Email/Mail/Drop-off your completed poster by September 25, 2026 and contest entry form here.

Important: Please make sure the completed contest entry form is submitted with the poster. Entries without a completed entry form may not be accepted.
Contest Deadline
All entries must be received no later than:
September 25, 2026
Late entries may not be accepted.
Winner Notification
Prize Winners will be notified by:
October 2, 2026
Winners will be contacted using the contact information provided with their contest entry.
Judging Criteria
Posters will be judged based on:
• Creativity and originality
• Overall quality and effort
• Ability to promote healthy smile habits through artwork
• Clear communication of a positive oral health message

Grand Prize Winners (3 Total)
One Grand Prize Winner will be selected from each grade division
• Kindergarten–2nd Grade
• 3rd–4th Grade
• 5th–6th Grade
Each Grand Prize Winner will receive a Fang-Tastic Champion Prize Pack, including:
• Electric toothbrush
• Toothpaste
• Toy fangs
• Floss
• Certificate
All Participants
Every student who submits a poster will receive:

Plus a Certificate of Participation.
