Services Provided

EAP benefits are provided to Placer County employees free of charge and include a variety of confidential services to navigate life’s more challenging moments, including coaching, parenting and childcare needs, eldercare resources, financial coaching, and legal consultation for all permanent county employees.

Services can be accessed through Concern's website or by calling 1-800-344-4222 and speaking to a customer service representative. The EAP is available around the clock with unlimited telephone access 24/7. In addition, Concern’s website offers helpful articles, resources, and self-assessment tools to ensure employees have valuable resources at their fingertips.

Counseling Services

Confidential counseling services are available via in-person, video, telephone, text, and live chat as follows:

  • Up to 5 visits per incident for all permanent employees (PDF) and their eligible dependents
    • Access by utilizing the digital platform or calling 1-800-344-4222 with company code: placercounty
  • Up to 10 visits per incident for law enforcement First Responder (PDF) employees and their spouse/domestic partner
    • Includes access to Concern EAP’s culturally competent provider network and critical incident stress debriefing services
    • Access expanded First Responder EAP benefits by calling 1-800-344-4222 and using company code: placercounty and “First Responder” designation.

Provider Availability

Providers are often affiliated with multiple vendors, ensuring continuity of care from MHN to Concern. If not, providers can contact Concern to join their network. Questions or concerns related to continuity of care should be directed to the provider or Concern directly.
