Altabira City Tavern offers views of downtown from Lloyd District deck (photos)

Perched atop the newly minted Hotel Eastlund, Altabira City Tavern brings modern flare to the dining experience in the Lloyd District.

A rooftop deck with views of downtown and the west hills adjoins the restaurant, owned by David Machado, the man originally behind Pazzo Ristorante, Southpark and Lauro Mediterranean Kitchen. Today, he owns the wildly popular happy hour spot Nel Centro at Hotel Modera as well as Citizen Baker, the cafe on Hotel Eastlund's ground level.
