Dates/Times
Friday, September 26, 2025 from 6 p.m. - 11 p.m.
Saturday, September 27, 2025, the parade starts and 9 a.m. and Moore Park is open until 5 p.m. or when the Main Stage band finishes.
Parade Info & Guidelines
Click link for parade participant information and guidelines. The Strut parade takes place at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2025 on St. Andrews Road. The parade route is between Crossroads Intermediate School and Irmo Elementary School. Please plan to arrive early as St. Andrews Road will be shut down at 8:45 a.m. for parade traffic.
Parking
$10 parking (debit/credit card and Apply Pay only - no cash) is available in the gravel lot on the left when you enter Moore Park. Plug 7473 Church Street, Irmo, SC 29063 into your GPS to get you to the fun!
Please note: Irmo Police Department may be guiding you to Carlisle St. off Lake Murray Blvd near the entrance to Loveland Coffee to park you off of Moseley Ave.

Free shuttles will be running every 20 minutes from the Irmo Wellness Center (7182 Woodrow St., Irmo) and from Union United Methodist Church (7582 Woodrow St., Irmo). There is NO CHARGE to park at the shuttle lots. Shuttles start at 6 p.m. on Friday Night and 9 a.m. on Saturday.
Admission
The festival is FREE to attend. There is a fee for parking at Moore Park (no cash transactions for parking). Many vendors will charge for goods so make sure to bring debit/credit cards for food, drinks, shopping and amusement rides. Vendors may accept cash or card payment (TBD by each vendor). We will have ATM’s at Moore Park for your convenience.
Rides
Join the fun at the Richland County Hospitality Tax Family Fun Zone in the grassy field near Shelter 1 in Moore Park. Wristbands will be on sale at the ticketing booth in the Kids Zone. No CASH SALES. Debit and credit cards ONLY.

CNY Attractions will be providing a game truck, laser tag, an 80-foot obstacle course, and RC racing.
​
Will & Kris Amusements will be providing Way Out Swings, Kid Kopter Ride, Rapid Slide, and a Tijuana Twister Ride.
Food Vendors
Food vendors for the 2025 Strut includes Calabash Caribbean Grill, Cox Family BBQ, Kirby's Kandys, Kona Ice, Lake Murray Women's Club (OKRA!), Rick's Lemonade, RSS Foods, Soda Sippers, and Steak Boys. With such a diverse group of vendors, there's sure to be something to please every palate. We'll also have a variety of beverages for all ages, including options for adults provided by our sponsor, KW Beverage.
Pets
Due to security concerns in the park, NO PETS are allowed in the Okra Strut. Please understand these are special rules for the Okra Strut due to the amount of people that attend our festival We love your pets and want them to stay safe! Thank you for complying with this rule.
Coolers
We do not allow attendees to bring their own coolers or outside food and beverages. We will have food and drink vendors with a wide range of offerings. This event raises money for community projects and local scholarship funds, so we thank you for understanding and your generosity.
Chairs and
Blankets
There will be seating around Moore Park and in front of the Prisma Health amphitheater. You are welcome to bring your own chairs and blankets if you wish. We encourage you to get comfortable and stay a while!
Road Closures
The following roads will be closed Friday, September 26, 2025 starting at 12 p.m. until Saturday, September 27, 2025 at 11:30 p.m.

Church Street (S-32-1292) between Lake Murray Blvd (SC 60) and Eastview Road

Eastview Road (S-40-2382) between Battery Road and Lake Murray Blvd (SC 60)
Additionally, St. Andrews Road (S-36) from Wescott to Lake Murray Blvd (SC 60) will be closed for the Okra Strut Parade on Saturday, September 27, 2025 from 8:50 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Payments
Okra Strut Commission Processed Transactions (parking, amusements, okra strut merchandise): We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as well as contactless payments such as Apple Pay and Google Pay. Please note: a 4% surcharge will be added to each transaction to help cover processing costs.

Outside Vendors (exhibitors and food vendors): Check with the specific vendor for the payment types they accept. ATMs will be available in Moore Park during the Strut for your needs.
