ZOMBIE

Zombie by Yungblud was released through Lococomotion and Geffen Records on 30 May 2025 and is the third single from his fourth studio album Idols.
Fueled by distorted guitars, punk-infused energy, and Yungblud’s signature rebellious snarl, the track captures the feeling of emotional paralysis in a world that demands constant performance. With lyrics that oscillate between vulnerability and rage, “Zombie” doesn’t just talk about feeling dead inside — it screams it, dances with it, and dares you to feel something again. This song is a call to the misfits and over-thinkers who are just trying to stay human in a culture that keeps trying to turn them off.

Yungblud described the track as a ballad about “feeling you’re ugly, and learning to battle that”. The song features strings from the London Philharmonic Orchestra and a music video starring British actress Florence Pugh.
He made his UK chart impact in February 2019 with the single 11 Minutes with Halsey and Travis Barker. Yungblud’s EP The Underrated Youth released in October 2019 was his first to reach the Official Albums Chart Top 10. In December 2020, his second studio album Weird! became his first UK Number 1 album. He decided to melt down his Official Number 1 award and turn it into safety pins for 150 fans to say thank you for all of their support.
