The Subway was really the saving grace of this week for me, but hey, sombr’s creeping up on me & also Olivia Dean is rising which is a very good thing. Sadly Blessings is going on ACR next week though :(

after the borefests that have been ordinary, manchild, survive, dior and daisies have been unfortunately leading the charts for months, i’m so glad we got golden followed by the subway at number 1. kpop demon hunters was such a great film and i’ve been waiting on chappell to drop the subway for ages now, it’s such a good ballad

Not impressed that ‘Yukon’ is getting a resurgence. The new Justin Bieber album wasn’t for me but this is easily one of the weakest tracks on it.

At least ‘Back To Me’ is on the verge of breaking into the Top 40 and the big rebound for ‘Dive’ still gives me hope that it’ll be a sleeper hit.

I’m impressed by the fact that some of the Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath entries are sticking around!

Man, this week was rough for ACR hits.

‘Just Keep Watching’, ‘Illegal’ and ‘Fame Is A Gun’ all got taken out by it. I’m a fan of all of these. :(

Crazy that we have now have three Top 10 hits from K-Pop Demon Hunters! I just know that ‘Free’ is going to be the song from that soundtrack that ends up being underrated though. Such a beautiful duet.

Elsewhere, I love seeing the big jump for ‘12 To 12’, up 12! As somebody who’s generally mixed on Sombr’s music, this is such a fun tune and it deserves to be a hit. :)

It’s a shame that Reneé Rapp doesn’t have any songs in the chart today despite having two in the midweek update.

Oh well, at least she got her first #1 album which is a real highlight of the week for me. If you haven’t listened to it, please check it out! It’s absolutely worth hearing.

I really like the turnover we’ve been having at the summit lately! This is the seventh different song to get there in the space of eight weeks. Definitely refreshing to see after how long ‘Ordinary’ hogged it for earlier this year.

As for ‘The Subway'… I think the vocals are very good but it’s not among Chappell Roan’s best, even in terms of her ballads. Nevertheless, congratulations to her on a second #1 single and becoming the first artist to have multiple songs top the chart in 2025.
