Skye Newman enters race for UK's Number 1 single with Family Matters

As Tate McRae eyes highest new entry with Just Keep Watching (From F1® The Movie)

Alex Warren leads the race for this week’s Official Number 1 single, expected to make it an out of the Ordinary 12 weeks at the top.

Last week, the track was named the UK’s joint longest-running chart-topping single of the 2020s, drawing level with Ed Sheeran’s Bad Habits.

But there’s competition from rising South East London star Skye Newman, with second release Family Matters set to jump three to a brand-new peak (3).

Skye’s similarly soulful debut Hairdresser could reach new heights, too, up three midweek (13).

This week’s highest new entry could come courtesy of Tate McRae, with Just Keep Watching (From F1® The Movie) predicted to debut at Number 8.

Breakout dance trio Max Dean, Locky and Luke Dean hope to see their first-ever Singles Chart entry Can’t Decide on the ascent in its second week on chart, potentially lifting two (17).

Oh, hi! Finally, Lola Young’s One Thing looks to land a new peak; up three midweek (19).

Hopefully "One Thing" can rise a bit more. I've started liking it more recently.

Every new entry is just rubbish nowadays. Tate's was decent but nothing more.

We need a miracle to happen in the top ten.

I don't get the hype behind 'Family Matters' but at least 'Just Keep Watching' is set for a Top 10 debut.

How many weeks do you think ordinary will have at number one?

Honestly, I think at least 14. It's on no decline according to the latest ACR update and it still has about a 26k sales lead over 'Pink Pony Club'.

Big question..Will it do what hasn't been done for 34 years?Tie with Bryan Adams monumental 16 week reign of Everything I Do(I Do It For You) or will the charts manipulate to make sure that record stands alone and Frankie Laine's all time record 18 week reign of I Believe from 1953 remain? Where's Ed Sheeran or Adele when you need them?(Not that they could stop Alex Warren as their best days are behind them).

I think Adele could stop Alex Warren, it's just that she's not releasing anything. She never fell off, she's just not active.

@Piran

Surely those big sales have got to have declines soon, and then he's more likely to go on ACR.
