Who is Chrystal?

Chrystal is moniker of the Bolton-based DJ and producer Chrystal Jade Ruby Opal Orchard.

Originally making her debut in the 2010s, Chrystal a deal with indie label 37 Records, and came to wider attention in 2017 with the release of her tastemaker hit Waves, which was highlighted on BBC Radio 1 Introducing.

Following a hiatus in which Chrystal left her label and shelved a huge amount of material she had been working on for an album, in 2024 a previously unreleased track called The Days was uploaded online (thanks to encouragement by Chrystal's friends and family) and didn't take long to blow up all over social media.

Nearly a decade since starting a career in music, Chrystal had her biggest hit to date, The Days became, in quick succession, both her first UK Top 40, Top 10 and then Top 5 single. By summer 2025, a team-up with Detroit DJ and producer Marc Kinchen, aka MK, delivered Chrystal her first UK Number 1 featuring on MK's deep house track Dior.

After a new deal inked with Polydor, we can expect big things in 2025 and beyond.
