Supporting Families: Understanding the DOPA Form
Viviana Salazar, along with immigration lawyers Karla Santiago and Abigail Wahl, provided vital information to community members about the Delegation of Parental Authority (DOPA) form in Minnesota. This form is a crucial legal tool that allows parents to temporarily delegate parental responsibilities to a trusted individual.
As families navigate challenges, the DOPA form offers peace of mind by helping to keep families connected and ensuring that children are not left without proper care. This session provided essential guidance on the importance of legal preparedness, empowering families with the knowledge they need to protect their loved ones.
By offering these resources, Nuestra Lucha MN and its partners continue to support and strengthen the community, advocating for the well-being of every family.
