Mississauga reeve keeps seat MISSISSAUGA Incumbent Reeve Charles Murray was returned for another three- term on Mississauga council yesterday by a 1.255-vote margin over challenger Mrs. Caye Killaby. Murray, 56, 15 a 13-year veteran on council and was acclaimed reeve in 1967 when the former Toronto Township became the Town of Mississauga. Mrs. Killaby, 41. a mother of two boys, this year completed a three-year term as representative of Ward 3. In addition to Murray all other incumbents were re-elected. Wards 3 and 4. which were vacant, will be represented by new councillors. Mayor Robert Speck, deputy reeve Grant Clarkson and Ward 2 Councillor Lou Parsons were acclaimed. In Ward 1 incumbent Harold Kennedy easily staved off challengers Tom Dale and A. M. Morrison. Kennedy polled 2.080 to Dale's 1.521 and Morrison's 109. In Ward 3. vacated by Mrs. Killaby. Milton Gregory swept by James Durbano 1.856 to 632. In Ward 4. left vacant by Clarkson who was acclaimed deputy reeve, former Peel Board of Education chairman Glenn Grice defeated piano technician John Lillico 1.019 to 645. Incumbent Frank MeKechnie. who has represented the Malton area for 12 years, was returned to office in Ward 5 polling 921 votes to Rudie Jansen's 328.
