Jonathan Ross branded a 'f***ing snake' in Celebrity Traitors' Ruth Codd's explosive rant

Celebrity Traitors star Ruth Codd reportedly wasn't happy about her exit from the BBC show as she launched into a rant with Jonathan Ross becoming her target

A secret Celebrity Traitors feud appears to have been unveiled as one star launched an explosive rant at a fellow celebrity.

Ruth Codd is said to have called Jonathan Ross a 'f***ing snake' as things got heated on the set of Celebrity Traitors. The actress, 29, was said to have been left "furious" after she was murdered on the show. She allegedly took her anger out on presenter Jonathan, who she correctly guessed was a Traitor. Ruth had previously claimed there was an "unspoken hierarchy" on the show.

Now, it has been claimed Ruth "really let go of her anger" behind the scenes. So far on the series, not one of the Traitors have been rumbled as Jonathan, Cat Burns and Alan Carr remain undetected.

"There was definitely frustration from Ruth that her co-stars weren't listening to her after she correctly identified Jonathan as a Traitor," a source said. "Ruth felt that not many of the celebrities were following their own instincts and minds, which meant the game wasn't always played properly."

"It was a shame for her to be murdered so early in the competition when she had a lot more to give," they told Daily Mail. Ruth was the third contestant to be eliminated from the show after calling out Jonathan at the roundtable.

Ruth was reportedly "angry" that she was eliminated so early on in the game and described the debacle as a "f**king joke".

Since her exit has aired, Ruth hit out at issues she faced off-camera. Ruth was a fan favourite on the show. Her no-nonsense attitude was beloved by fans but ultimately led to her being killed after she raised suspicions about Jonathan.

"There was probably an unspoken hierarchy in there, and that placed certain people like myself at a disadvantage because I haven't been in the industry very long," she told The Times.

"Sometimes being a strong woman can be lonely, because you’re branded as aggressive and difficult. I don’t think I’m any of those things. I just speak my mind.”

Ruth's comments sparked debate among fans of the show as some argued Paloma Faith, Tom Daley and Clare Balding were all killed off so being a household name wasn't necessarily protection on the show.

One commented: "Paloma, Tom & Clare were taken out so that makes no sense." Others also said her actions on the show were to blame, saying she "made herself a threat" by going after Jonathan Ross.

Niko Omilana has shared his own thoughts on the show and said the celeb group were the "worst Faithfuls ever". Hopping on his Instagram stories, Niko said: "The way in which they’re approaching the game is, ‘Oh, it’s Niko, you are a YouTuber, you are gone, you untrustworthy scum.

"One thing which you guys didn’t see was, that roundtable is the most intense thing I’ve ever seen in my life. And, obviously, they have to cut it down for TV and make it shorter, but there were some people going crazy on me."

The Mirror has contacted the BBC and Ruth's representative for comment.
