Coronation Street fans 'rumble' who's messaging Hope - and it's 'not Ruby'

Coronation Street fans are speculating over which character could be trolling Hope Stape with nasty text messages after spoilers hinted it's her sister Ruby Dobbs

Fans of Coronation Street are convinced they know who is texting Hope Stape mean messages, after spoilers teased it could be someone close to home.

Hope has been the victim of trolling for weeks, sent cruel messages on her phone by a mystery person. This week we saw her question if Jake Windass was to blame, with him facing accusations.

But fans think it could be someone else, amid spoilers teasing it could be her sister Ruby Dobbs. Some viewers are not convinced though, taking to social media to suggest another teen could be targeting poor Hope.

While a handful of characters were suspected by fans, one youngster in particular is tipped to be exposed as Hope's bully. That person is David Platt's daughter Lily Platt, who previously targeted her cousin Sam Blakeman.

Taking to social media, one fan theorised: "I reckon it’s Lily," as another fan agreed: "Yes, she showed a 'side' when she did that to Sam." A third fan commented: "Lilly I'd say."

A fourth fan wrote: "Sounds like something Lily would say," as another posted: "I read somewhere that it’s Lily." Other names included Tracy Barlow and Hope's own grandmother Cassie Plummer.

A fan guessed: "What do you wanna bet Tracy’s the one sending all these texts to Hope?" A further post said: "Oh God, what if it’s Cassie trying to worm her way back into the fold? I wouldn’t put it past her."

It comes as spoilers hinted that Hope's sister Ruby might be to blame. Something Ruby says to her parents leaves her dad Tyrone stunned, as it matches a message Hope has received - but does this give away who is trolling Hope?

Fans think so with many convinced Ruby will be exposed as the troll. One viewer even suggested there was a major clue that has already aired, linked to what one of the messages said.

They wrote: "I don't think she's ever danced in public has she, only around the house. Maybe I'm wrong but could be Ruby." Other fans also guessed it would be Ruby identified as the person messaging Hope.

A fan said: "Ruby Ruby Ruby," as another posted: "I think it's Ruby." A further comment said: "No, even Tracy wouldn’t stoop that low, it’s Ruby!"

Viewers will get more answers, perhaps, next week when Tyrone makes the discovery. Surely these scenes will give away whether Ruby really is to blame or not, and whether someone else is messaging Hope.
