Celebrity Traitors final five unmasked in epic episode as stars make dramatic vow

The first series of Celebrity Traitors has been a huge hit and now your final five have been revealed ahead of next week's last episide

The final of the Celebrity Traitors will see Alan Carr and Cat Burns trying to trick a final trio of famous faces next week - as they battle it out for a charity prize of at least £67,500.

Two more celebrities have left the show whilst Alan and Cat declared themselves “traitors for life” and vowed to win more money and then steal it from under the noses of the faithfuls.

Tonight’s BBC show saw actor Celia Imrie murdered in plain sight by Alan at a dinner party. Afterwards a round table discussion descended into a heated exchange between historian David Olusoga and TV host Kate Garraway. Kate received the most votes and was banished.

It means the Celebrity Traitors final five are Alan, Cat and then three faithfuls in David, ex-rugby star Joe Marler and comedian Nick Mohammed.

And having been hopeless for much of the series, only just getting rid of traitor Jonathan Ross earlier this week, the faithfuls now look like they could turn things round and win the charity prize.

In the closing moments of Thursday’s episode Joe urged Nick and David to believe him when he said he had a new theory.

Joe said: “There's no hiding place around those small, round tables now, and tonight, Nick convinced me that Cat is a traitor that has gone way under the radar the entire game. I think that Cat and Alan are traitors. I think it might be both of them.”

He then told David: “This will sound really suspicious, being the intelligent man that you are. I'm convinced it's Alan and Kat and I play a very dangerous game of remaining very close to them, because I'm certain I'm a faithful and I'm certain the Nick’s a faithful. You're a faithful. Just watch them.” And he told Nick: “I'm adamant it's Alan and Cat, and I've gotten close to them. I believe 100 percent.”

Host Claudia Winkleman also told the remaining five that now it will be harder to work our how many traitors are left in the competition. She said: “You have done brilliantly. Here's the thing, though, from now on, you will solely be using trust and instinct, because in tomorrow's final nobody will say if they're a traitor or a faithful as they leave.”

The five all had to look each other in the eyes and declare themselves a faithful and the two traitors then got to hatch out a plan for the final in the castle turret.

Alan said: “We are doing so well. I'm just worried. When Claudia said, 'can you tell everyone that you're a faithful', I burst out laughing.” Cat replied: “I think you got away with it because you're funny.”

They both admitted they were a bit worried by Nick Mohammed, who voted for Cat at the most recent round table. Alan said: “He is slightly a worry. Let's just try and get more money in the pot.”

Cat agreed and said: “If it comes down to me and you yeah, we split it between us.” Alan nodded and replied: Traitors for life,” with Cat adding: “Yeah, traitors for life.”

The Celebrity Traitors final, an extended 70 minute episode, is on BBC1 and BBC iPlayer next Thursday at 9pm.
