Is Callum dead in Emmerdale? Soap reveals fate tonight after sick April scenes

Emmerdale's April Windsor attacked newcomer Callum in self-defence on Thursday, and Friday's episode confirms the character's fate after he forced himself on the teen

Callum's fate is revealed on Emmerdale on Friday night, after the brutal attack twist with April Windsor.

Thursday's episode saw vile Callum left lifeless after being hit over the head with a bottle of vodka. April was terrified as she saw Callum slump onto the bed, after she attacked him in self-defence.

Friday's episode will reveal what happened next, and Callum's fate. The episode is available now on ITVX, while it doesn't air until 7:30pm on ITV1. For this reason, we've chosen not to give anything away, so you'll just have to watch it to find out what happens.

It didn't look good for Callum after the attack, as he had blood pouring from his head and he wasn't moving. April froze in terror over what had happened, but the episode ended before anything else took place.

Friday's episode will reveal Callum's fate, but how it does so and what it leads to is under wraps - unless of course fans watch the episode now or later on. April attacked Callum after he turned on her, refusing to let her leave.

Locking the door and trying it on with her, he was going to force April into having sex with him in a sickening assault. Claiming he'd paid Ray and Celia, he refused to let April go home when she told him she wasn't comfortable with going through with it.

It's then that he forced himself on her and she tried to get away, leading to the attack. She'd been sent there by Ray and Celia, who are heading up a dangerous drugs scheme which April and Dylan have been drugged into.

Convincing April and Dylan they are in serious debt, Ray and Celia have made it clear that they expect 16-year-old April to have sex with their clients to pay the money back, and to keep their clients returning. The grim storyline has also seen the pair getting closer to other villagers linked to April to put on the pressure.

It comes as Mark Charnock, who plays April's father Marlon Dingle, teased a massive twist is on the way. He said something that happens in a special episode with April and Marlon left him "thrown".

Mark told The Mirror: "There’s a twist in the episode that will stagger the audience. Something happens that when I read it, it shocked me so much that I thought ‘Oh god, I wish I’d known about it before I read it’ because it really threw me."
