Sky shoppers can get Ultimate TV deal with more than 140 channels for £22

Sky has slashed the price of its Ultimate TV bundle, which includes more than 140 channels, Netflix and Discovery+

As the evenings grow darker, Brits whose contracts have expired might want to explore a new TV provider - and Sky has launched a brilliant offer providing more than 140 channels for £22 a month.

Sky has slashed the price of its Ultimate TV bundle, which includes a wide range of channels, such as Sky Max and Sky Comedy, plus Netflix. On top of that, the package includes Sky Stream - Sky's wire-free alternative to a traditional TV box, which connects to TVs with minimal fuss.

Sky is also including Netflix and Discovery+ with the deal at no additional charge. However, shoppers should note this forms part of a 24-month contract, so that's worth bearing in mind before purchasing, reports the Express.

It's an ideal moment to snap up a TV or broadband package, as numerous providers are running major promotions. Virgin Media is offering lightning-fast broadband for just £27.99 monthly on its M500 and Gig1 broadband plans.

EE is also providing its TV Entertainment package for only £1 a month when purchased alongside an EE broadband package starting from £27.99 per month.

Sky has dropped the price of its Ultimate TV package, which includes more than 140 channels and costs only £22 a month.

The Daily Express tested Sky Stream at launch - and during their assessment, they were thoroughly impressed. Tech editor David Snelling remarked: "If you're looking for a hassle-free way to watch live Sky TV channels, exclusive boxsets, streaming services, sports and movies - Sky Stream does not disappoint.

"This tiny device offers access to 100 paid-for channels you won't find on Freeview, as well as the most popular terrestrial channels. Everything is beamed to your television in High Definition as standard - something Sky Q customers still need to pay extra for - without a satellite dish drilled into your walls or engineers trudging through your home.

"Once ordered, Sky Stream arrives in the post with a step-by-step guide to get set up and streaming in seconds. Trust us, even the biggest technophobe should cope with this simple DIY set-up: just plug it in, connect to your Wi-Fi, and the binge-watching begins.

"Seriously, setting up Sky Stream takes less time than preparing the popcorn to enjoy with your movie once everything is up and running."

But there's a catch. Sky provides various optional add-ons, such as 4K Ultra viewing, which can quickly add up. David added: "While that starting price is incredibly appealing, optional extras like 4K Ultra HD picture quality, Sky Cinema and Sky Sports channels, and the £5 premium to skip adverts from catch-up services like ITVX and All4 all start to add up fast. Pretty soon, you could find yourself with a bill north of £80 per month."
