IShowSpeed net worth, meeting Cristiano Ronaldo and KSI boxing 'fight'

American streamer IShowSpeed is set to play in the latest iteration of the Sidemen Charity Match at Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon having seen his following balloon over recent years

The Sidemen Charity Match takes place on Saturday evening - with IShowSpeed set to steal the headlines once again.

The American has been confirmed to be playing at the latest iteration of the game at Wembley Stadium on Saturday afternoon. He comes into the game with a huge following across YouTube and streaming platforms.

And fans will be hoping to see his iconic ‘SIU’ celebration copied from Cristiano Ronaldo replicated at Wembley over the weekend. And if he does that, he will be doing it in front of a sold-out stadium.

But who actually is IShowSpeed? Get all of the details you need ahead of the 2025 Sidemen Charity Match:

Who is IShowSpeed?

IShowSpeed, 20, is an American YouTuber and streamer. He has been active since 2016 and has managed to accumulate over 76million followers across his social media accounts.

His real name is Darren Jason Watkins Jr. He recently featured on American channel CBS Sports alongside Micah Richards, Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher, with the ex-Manchester City man revealing how that came about.

Speaking on the Rest Is Football podcast, he said: “It started about ten days ago. Thierry Henry went to play a charity match with all the YouTubers and streamers and one of the big, big streamers is called IShowSpeed, that’s what his name is.”

He added: “Basically he DMd me about two weeks ago saying ‘I’d love to come on your guys’ show and meet the guys’. So on Tuesday, he came to the show but we set it up like the security turned him away. It was a gimmick to get people talking. That bit was set up

“We’re talking massive following. All the kids, even adults so our security we come past, we’ve got Thierry Henry and Premier League players. Have they ever asked you for a photo? This guy was like Denzel Washington coming through the door, it was madness.

“The other thing is he is a massive Ronaldo fan so he’s met him one time and he’s a bit of a, I won’t say actor, but he plays up to it. And everyone loves him.”

He played at the Sidemen Charity Match in 2023 and famously whipped Mark Clattenburg with his shirt after having a goal ruled out due to the offside flag.

What is his net worth?

According to Spanish outlet Marca, IShowSpeed has a net worth sitting at a stunning $10m (£7.9m).

Why does he love Ronaldo?

IShowSpeed has built his brand around being somewhat of a Ronaldo fanatic. He regularly wears Ronaldo shirts, while he attempted to watch him in action at Manchester United.

IShowSpeed even met the Portuguese forward in June 2023 following a qualifying game for Euro 2024. He recently explained why he is such a big fan of the Al-Nassr captain.

Speaking to Rio Ferdinand, he said: “I don’t care what you are, man, woman, [or] animal? When you look at him, you get the sense of presence, like the way he takes his freekick, the stance. He locks you in. I kinda fell in love at the first sight.”

Did he fight KSI?

KSI took on IShowSpeed in the boxing ring in 2023. They staged a sparring session in London, with the British YouTuber and rapper dropping his opponent on three occasions.

He then bizarrely tapped out, handing the win to Speed and then exited the ring. That triggered an emotional reaction from Speed, who has yet to be handed a rematch.

Where can I watch the Sidemen Charity Match?

The Sidemen Charity Match takes place at Wembley Stadium on Saturday, getting underway at 3pm. It will be available to watch for free on the Sidemen official YouTube channel.
