In a picture shared on social media, certain letters are highlighted. "LA" is emphasised in red in the word "Disneyland", and "ORL" is highlighted in red in "Disney World".

While some were left a little stumped as to what it means, others said they'd never noticed the subtle hidden meaning in the names before. When the penny drops, you'll realise how clever the names actually are.

Explaining the picture, one person commented: "Disneyland has LA in it, saying it’s in Cali. Disney World has ORL in it, saying it’s in Orlando. In reality, Disneyland isn’t even in LA, so I don't know what they are on about."

To this, another replied: "The first Disneyland was in LA, so I think it makes sense. Later on they started building it in different countries."

Others didn't want to get into the specifics though, and thought the names were pretty clever. Another chimed in with: "Everyone needs to relax. To outsiders it’s close enough, and it’s a fun easy way to remember which is in which state at least."

One more wrote: "Let me make this easy for you guys if you don’t get it - Disneyland is in California, Disney World is in Orlando."

Disneyland first opened in the the United States way back in 1955. Meanwhile, Disney World opened in 1971 and is much bigger than Disneyland, covering 27,000 acres across five main theme parks and two water parks.

Recently, Disney World in Orlando confirmed it was set to expand its Magic Kingdom by adding a new park section dedicated to villains. This will be one of the biggest changes made to the parks in around five decades.
