The M5 was forced to close in both directions following a horror crash on the motorway, earlier today.
An air ambulance landed on the road as police and emergency services rushed to the scene. Traffic was stopped in both directions on the M5 between J6 for Worcester and J5 for Droitwich.
The major disruption was due to a "police-led incident", although the exact details were not clear.
Delays as traffic clears
Although the closed lanes have been opened following the horror road incident, drivers have been warned to leave extra time for travel.
National Highways said delays were clearing but drivers should "still allow extra time!.
Lanes reopen but drivers warned about ongoing delays
All lanes have re-opened on the M5 within J6 in Worcestershire.
National Highways said: "Delays are starting to clear, please still allow extra time for your journey.
"Thank you for your patience."

The incident has brought traffic to a standstill in both direction.
Delays set to last at least another 1.5 hours
National Highways has shared an estimaited time for when the traffic could clear.
It said: "All lanes are closed. Normal traffic conditions are expected between 4.30pm and 4.45pm."
'Severe delays', AA warns
The AA warned drivers could face hueg delays of 42 minutes between junction 7 and junction 5, on top of normal traffic times.
It said: "Severe delays of 42 minutes and delays easing on M5 Northbound between J7 A44 (Worcester / Evesham) and J5 A38 (Droitwich / Wychbold).
"Average speed five mph."

Drivers warned to expect 80 minute delays
National Highways has warned of huge delays following the 'serious' incident.
The agency said: "Long delays of at least 80 minutes northbound and 60 minutes southbound above normal travel times.
"Please allow extra journey time. Thank you for your patience."
