A three-bed semi-detached house is on sale with extravagant decor. It's on the market for £189,995 - and some say it looks like it's trying to be the Palace of Versailles - the former royal residence commissioned by King Louis XIV near Paris.
The modest property looks like any other from the outside. But the gold painted metal gates to the driveway give a hint at what is to come.
There is a cocktail bar in the hallway with high stools. In the lounge there are marble-style statues and black Versace cushions on sofa.
The silver decor continues throughout the house and there at fancy curtains in all the rooms. There is a disco ball in the kitchen and a soft toy white tiger on the floor.
There are also Versace throws on the beds. The house is located in Balmoral Drive, Leigh, Greater Manchester.
It is being sold by Cooke & Company estate agents and advertised on Rightmove. One home hunter joked: “When you live in a three-bed semi in Manchester. But think it's the Palace of Versailles.”
The listing makes a brief mention of the decor, as reported on Luxury Property News. It says it boasts “luxurious fixtures and fittings.”
