The National Lottery draw has been drawn to a halt by a technical glitch - leaving viewers of the live stream baffled.

Operator Allwyn said Saturday night's Lotto draw was paused after the bonus ball failed to drop - and confirmed the draw would resume "as soon as possible" with a new machine in the presence of an independent adjudicator.

The live draw abruptly cut out at before the bonus ball was drawn at around 8pm, with a message saying there had been technical problems.

The winning Lotto numbers were later confirmed as: 04, 09, 28, 40, 42, 59 and the Bonus Ball is 55. Tonight’s estimated jackpot is £10.5 million.

Tonight’s National Lottery Thunderball winning numbers are: 09, 11, 13, 28, 34 and the Thunderball is 13.

An earlier statement from the National Lottery said: "Due to the bonus ball not dropping during tonight’s Lotto draw, we have paused the draw. It will resume as soon as possible with an alternative draw machine and under the supervision of an independent adjudicator."

Online fault reporting service Downdetector showed a spike in reports of problems at around the time of the 8pm draw.

On Friday, there were no jackpot winners on the £45 million Euromillions draw. The winning main EuroMillions numbers were: 07, 08, 25, 31, 45, and the Lucky Star numbers were: 07, 12.

Tuesday's jackpot will be an estimated £54 million.
