'Hotel quality' pillows are £6.20 each and 'support' back and side sleepers

'These have helped me have a restful night's sleep and are very reasonably priced', said one happy shopper

With hectic schedules and constant demands, little is as important as a restful night's sleep. Getting that requires the right pillow, which should provide proper support to the spine and neck, so sleepers wake up refreshed, rather than stiff and sore.

For those who like a firmer feel, Amazon is selling the Snuggledown Rebound quilted pillows, which cost £24.80 for a pack of four - equating to £6.20 per pillow. Shoppers can also get a twin pack for £16.50, costing £8.25 per pillow.

According to the brand, the Rebound pillows have been expertly designed for both back and side sleepers, and are filled with 'resilient fibres' that help align the head, neck, and spine. Simply requiring a quick shake each morning, they won’t sag or flatten, Snuggledown says.

Each pillow's cover is finished with a quilted zig-zag design, bringing a touch of hotel-style luxury to the bedroom. In addition, the Snuggledown Rebound pillows are made with non-allergenic hollowfibre and microfibre, so are suitable for more sensitive sleepers.

Care is easy too, as the pillows can be machine washed at 40 degrees and tumble dried. The brand also includes a two-year guarantee should shoppers run into any problems.

For alternatives, Argos sells a twin pack of Silentnight Bounceback pillows for £15, which is £7.50 per pillow. Made from 100% polyester, they’re machine washable and hypoallergenic, and the brand says they’re suitable for back sleepers.

A more indulgent option is the Lyndon Company Superior Feels Like Down pillow from Debenhams, which is 67% off at £20, down from £60. The pillow has a soft/medium firmness, and is encased in 300 thread count cotton for a 'luxurious' finish.

Many shoppers love the Snuggledown pillows, which are rated 4.5 out of five on Amazon, with one buyer leaving a five-star review, saying: “Have experienced neck problems over many years and struggling to get a pillow that actually is comfortable has proved to be difficult. I have tried lots of different pillows in the past, some quite costly, with not much success.

“These, however, are very soft, bouncy, and have helped me have a restful night's sleep and are very reasonably priced. A very good buy.”

Another agreed: “This pillow is fantastic, I have neck pain and this pillow helps so much.” A third buyer added: “Very comfortable, very good quality, retained its shape throughout the night.”

One left four stars, noting: “The quality of the pillow is great, but I would not call these pillows firm or even medium.” This was echoed by another reviewer, who said: “I think calling these pillows firm is incorrect.

“They're soft and spongey - if you rest your head on the pillow, your head will sink to the bottom. This, by no means, means that they are bad quality - I just don't think the title suits the product.”
