Aldi's viral 'buy to save' £35 gadget back in stores that's 'perfect for winter'

The 'sell-out shopper favourite' is coming back to the middle aisle

Aldi is bringing back its sell-out range of heated airers, which the supermarket claims 'makes winter laundry that bit easier'. Landing in stores from Sunday, October 26, the energy-efficient devices help UK households dry laundry 'quickly'.

A spokesperson said: "Winter is officially approaching, and with it comes the age-old battle against endless damp laundry. But Aldi is coming to save the day (and your energy bills) with the highly anticipated return of their sell-out heated airers, back in the middle aisle from this Sunday.

"These energy-efficient laundry saviours are a shopper favourite for a reason – they dry clothes quickly, efficiently, and without costing a fortune." However, they also said: "If savvy shoppers want to get their hands on these bargains, they will need to act quickly because, as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone."

Heated airers can help reduce energy costs when compared to tumble dryers, particularly for small to medium laundry loads. They are more energy-efficient since they consume considerably less electricity than a tumble dryer. However, for larger households with a significant amount of laundry, a high-efficiency heat-pump tumble dryer might be a more economical choice than a heated airer.

From Sunday, Aldi shoppers have two options: the Winged Heated Airer for £34.99 and the Upright Heated Airer for £79.99. Heated airers can be handy appliances to keep in the house, especially when the weather prevents people from drying their clothes outside.

They can help dry clothes more quickly than traditional airers, are more energy-efficient, and cost less to operate than tumble dryers while being gentle on fabrics. They also help minimise household dampness and come in compact, foldable designs. Certain models even offer comforting warmth during cold mornings.

Aldi's Winged Heated Airer has a 'large drying surface area', foldable wings, and a 1.4m cable for 'easy access' to power. The spokesperson added: "Bargain hunters can save 50 per cent versus the comparable Lakeland product."

Lakeland's Dry:Soon Winged Heated Clothes Airer costs £69.99, meaning Aldi customers can save £35 compared to a high-end version that offers similar functions. However, Lakeland's airer is available for home delivery, while Aldi shoppers will need to head to their nearest store to get one.

Those looking for a tiered option, Aldi is also selling an Upright Heated Airer. It offers a 'foldable and compact solution' with mesh shelves and a peg hanger for smaller items.

The spokesperson claims that Aldi's Upright Heated Airer could also be a more affordable option than a similar version available at Dunelm.

Dunelm's Extra Large 3 Tier Square Heated Airer costs £20 more at £100, but it does have an abundance of glowing five-star reviews.

The spokesperson continued: "Both airers are perfect for drying clothes, sheets, and towels quickly and efficiently during the winter months, each equipped with a cover to keep the warmth in."

hey reiterated: "Available in stores from October 26 while stocks last."
