Release time for Battlefield 6 Season 1 and countdown to the launch of REDSEC Battle Royale

Battlefield 6 is about to get even bigger, even sooner than players may have expected, and the game is giving players the chance to ultimately preload the update.

Battlefield 6 is set to expand even sooner than gamers might have anticipated, offering players the opportunity to preload the update in advance.

A fresh chapter has begun in the world of shooter games, despite its familiar appearance. Battlefield and Call of Duty are once again locking horns, but this time around, Battlefield seems to have taken the moral high ground, leaving Call of Duty scrambling to catch up after its rival gained a significant head start.

Battlefield 6 has finally arrived, and following some highly successful beta tests, players appear more thrilled than ever to dive into the franchise's ultra-destructive gameplay.

The game shows no signs of slowing down either, with Battlefield 6 Season 1 poised to launch imminently, introducing soldiers to new locations and weapons, as well as some exciting Limited Time Modes (LTMs), as outlined in the comprehensive Battlefield 6 Season 1 roadmap. The prospect is incredibly thrilling, particularly given the game's recent launch, and EA clearly has no intention of easing off the gas as it seeks to capitalise on its lead over Call of Duty.

Along with the seasonal content for the game alone comes the long-awaited REDSEC Battle Royale mode, too, as revealed by the scheduling of a new launch trailer for the same day, with the release date slated in its description. Perhaps the usurper to Warzone has finally arrived.

However, before the excitement can truly begin, Season 1 needs to officially launch. So, as anticipation builds, one question remains – when is the Battlefield Season 1 release time? Here's what you need to know.

Battlefield 6 Season 1 release time

The release time for Battlefield 6 Season 1 has been officially confirmed as 8am PDT / 11am EDT / 3pm GMT on Tuesday, October 28. EA revealed the news in a recent blog post, stating that update 1.1.0 will be available from 2am PDT / 5am EDT / 9am GMT, allowing players to install it ahead of the season's launch. This means you'll be ready to dive straight into the Battle Pass and explore new maps as soon as the season kicks off.

In all fairness, this is a rather clever system that enables players to preload the update and immediately access the game's fresh content. It's a thoughtful touch that's helping Battlefield 6 stand out. If you've been feeling the game was becoming a bit stale after many hours of play, get ready to have your expectations exceeded. Or, if Call of Duty gets its way, sorely disappointed.
