Netflix issues huge update for Wake Up Dead Man after Knives Out fans' plea
Knives Out fans all said the same thing after the release of the first trailer in the summer.
Netflix has released another trailer for the upcoming Knives Out mystery titled Wake Up Dead Man, but there is more exciting news for fans.
The film, which is the third instalment in the Knives Out series, stars Daniel Craig as he reprises his role as master detective Benoit Blanc.
The movie was initially scheduled to air on Netflix on December 12, but fans all said the same thing as they had hoped for a cinema release.
Now, Netflix has announced the film will get a run in select cinemas in the UK and Ireland on November 28, following its UK premiere at the BFI London Film Festival in October.
The streamer teased Benoit Blanc's "most dangerous case yet" and here's all you need to know.
The official synopsis for the film reads: "When young priest Jud Duplenticy (Josh O’Connor) is sent to assist charismatic firebrand Monsignor Jefferson Wicks (Josh Brolin), it’s clear that all is not well in the pews.
"Wicks’s modest-but-devoted flock includes devout church lady Martha Delacroix (Glenn Close), circumspect groundskeeper Samson Holt (Thomas Haden Church), tightly-wound lawyer Vera Draven, Esq. (Kerry Washington), aspiring politician Cy Draven (Daryl McCormack), town doctor Nat Sharp (Jeremy Renner), best-selling author Lee Ross (Andrew Scott), and concert cellist Simone Vivane (Cailee Spaeny).
"After a sudden and seemingly impossible murder rocks the town, the lack of an obvious suspect prompts local police chief Geraldine Scott (Mila Kunis) to join forces with renowned detective Benoit Blanc to unravel a mystery that defies all logic."
Netflix took to X, formerly Twitter, to share a two-minute trailer which introduces the star-studded cast. Some new stills from the film have also been released.

Buy purchasing Sky's Essential TV bundle, customers will be able to get access to Netflix for free for 24 months. They will also get over 100 channels, Sky Atlantic and Discovery+.
Back in June, fans were quick to react to the first trailer as they issued a demand to see the title be given a cinema release, even if for just a limited time.
The original Knives Out was only available in cinemas upon initial release while Glass Onion had a brief time in theatres too.
One fan had said: "Knives Out movies are meant to be enjoyed with friends and family on the big screen."
While someone else replied on social media saying: "Put it in movie theatres first. This time for longer than one week."
Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery will be shown in select cinemas in the UK and Ireland on November 28, before launching globally on Netflix on December 12.
