Comedian Russell Brand's distinctive long hair, trademark skinny jeans and cheeky patter found wider fame presenting Big Brother's Big Mouth, which was the launch pad for a film career. The notorious lothario settled down with Katy Perry in 2010 but filed for divorce after little over a year. Russell Brand – who once claimed to be “up there” at the 1,000 lovers mark - has been open about his previous sex addiction.
He also spoke out about his addiction to crack, heroin and alcohol and claims he's now over 20 years sober. He said in December 2023: "What I have been taught and shown is that it is impossible for a person like me to not drink and use drugs, unless I have sufficient ongoing support from people that understand what it's like to feel that drugs or alcohol, or you know, certain behaviours, are necessary in order to feel okay."
