The couple married in 1947, and had four children - Charles, Anne, Andrew and Edward.
At the age of 97 the Duke retired from royal duties. His last public outing with the Queen was at the polo in June 2018.
Prince Philip died peacefully at Windsor Castle on 9 April 2021, aged 99.
