The Traitors star Charlotte Chilton hospitalised after anxiety over paternity test row

Charlotte Chilton has revealed she was taken into hospital after suffering from stress just weeks after her paternity row with singer Conor Maynard resurfaced

The Traitors' Charlotte Chilton has been taken to hospital following the "stress" of her paternity row with singer Conor Maynard. She shared a worrying snap from the hospital bed as she appeared downcast.

Charlotte, 32, revealed she has been suffering from problems with her gallbladder as she gave an update on Instagram. The mum-of-one appeared in pain as she took a selfie wearing a hospital wristband and holding her hand up to her head.

She shared: "Me two days ago! Gallbladders and stress don't mix." Charlotte is yet to share more details on her concerning health update, but it seems she has now returned home.

It comes just weeks after Charlotte headed on holiday with her daughter Penelope amid a paternity test row with Conor. Last year, she announced her pregnancy and claimed Conor was the father.

The singer didn't speak out on any of Charlotte's claims as she alleged he wasn't supporting her through her pregnancy. However, things took a dramatic turn after Conor issued a statement in March this year stating that his DNA results were in and he was not Penelope's dad.

Charlotte and Conor briefly dated following their encounter at a club on the night of The Traitors ' final event. Despite his initial DNA test, Charlotte is said to have requested he took another.

It came after it was suggested an unidentified male was present when Conor's sample was taken. However, the result still stands as Conor is not Penelope's dad.

In a statement shared with the Mirror, Charlotte's representatives said: "For those of you who have followed Charlotte's journey since her appearance on BBC's The Traitors, will know she has fought an extraordinary battle for truth and justice with heartfelt conviction.

"We are forever grateful to everyone who has shown unwavering love and support to Charlotte over the past 12 months. Special thanks must also go to Charlotte's rockstar legal advisors, Lorna McCammon (SFR Law) and Paul Lunt (Brabners) for their invaluable counsel and guidance.

"We could not have done this without you. Charlotte will now take time to process, heal and reflect and when she is ready, she will finally share her story in full."

The singer decided to address the claims in March as he issued his first statement. He said at the time: "Earlier this week, I took a paternity test regarding Charlotte Chilton's baby girl, Penelope, in the presence of her legal representative.

"Today I've received the test results which confirm that I am not Penelope's father. I am glad that the speculation can finally be put to an end.

"All I would ask is that people act with kindness in response to this news - there is a child at the heart of all of this and that should not be forgotten. I wish Charlotte and her family all the best. Conor."

During her time on The Traitors, Charlotte had been in a relationship with ex-wife Laura and the pair had been together for seven years before things sadly came to an end.

Just last month, Charlotte said she was "living her best life" as she went abroad with daughter Penelope. She shared a series of sunny snaps as she embraced motherhood.
