Strictly's Dianne Buswell says 'I was gutted' as she issues pregnancy update
Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has opened up about her pregnancy with her Joe Sugg and says that she's 'definitely getting bigger' as she gave fans an update
Strictly Come Dancing's Dianne Buswell has confessed "I'm so upset" as she updated fans on her pregnancy journey.
The 36 year old Aussie dancer is expecting her first child with former Strictly partner and YouTuber Joe Sugg, with the couple preparing to welcome a baby boy next year.
This impending arrival has already brought about significant changes, with Dianne confessing to last year's Glitter Ball winner Chris McCausland that she's struggling to fit into her clothes.
During their Winning Isn't Everything podcast, she lamented: "Honestly Chris, I can't fit into any of my jeans. I'm so upset. I even went to the shops yesterday because I was like: 'Right, I need to feel good about myself and I need to buy some clothes that fit.'
"And I just didn't even have it in me and I was like: 'None of this stuff is doing it for me,'" reports Wales Online.
"I tried some bits on, I'd go for a size up, turns out I'd need two sizes up, I was honestly gutted. I didn't buy anything in the end, not a single thing. I came home and Joe said: 'What did you buy.' I was like: 'I bought nothing.'"
Dianne and Joe, 34, first crossed paths when they were paired together on the BBC reality show in 2018, finishing as runners up to Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton.
The overjoyed pair announced their pregnancy news via an Instagram post back in September, writing: "Our little baby boy [heart emoji] we cannot wait to meet you."
Dianne confessed that she's "definitely getting bigger" as she disclosed the little one "kicks a lot".
She said: "He's going to be a footballer. Or an Irish dancer, I'm not sure, one of the two. He kicks a lot, he's loving life, he's just getting bigger.
"I just have this feeling he's going to come out massive. I don't know why."
Comedian Chris then interrupted and joked: "And Joe's going to be like: 'Who do we know that's massive.'"
Dianne replied: "What's going on here. I just have this feeling, I don't know why. I just feel like he's going to come out like a big heffer."
The professional dancer departed Strictly earlier this month after her celebrity partner, Neighbours star Stefan Dennis, suffered a torn calf muscle during their routine the preceding Saturday.
Nevertheless, Dianne insists she won't be relaxing despite having additional free time and expecting a baby.
Chris enquired whether she's "a little bit glad" that she's finished dancing. Dianne answered: "No! I'm actually not. I stress over chilling out, it's not me, I never have been. And I'm going to take this back to my parents right.
"I am not the kind of person who can chill out. For me already this morning I've been to the gym and I've done this and I've done that because I have to.
"When I was younger, mum and dad, because they were such active people themselves, they were constantly cleaning, or doing this, or doing that.
"I always felt guilty if they came into the room and I was sat down watching TV. As soon as they'd get in the room, I'd get up and move something around."
