Strictly Come Dancing star Alexis Warr has said she is "proud" of her rarely seen husband as she shared a sweet tribute on social media. The professional dancer, who joined the BBC show's line-up this year alongside fellow newcomer Julian Caillon, said her husband, Jake Burton, has passed his dental school boards.

To mark the achievement ahead of tonight's Strictly Halloween special, the American dancer shared three selfies taken in London - outside Buckingham Palace, near Tower Bridge and in front of Big Ben. She also posted a clip of them at home.

Alexis, 25, said she is "grateful" to Jake's support while expressing her pride for what he has achieved. She captioned the post: "Proud wifey posttt. My man passed his dental school boards!! Couldn't be more grateful for his heart, his drive, and the way he supports and loves me through it all."

Alexis gained recognition for her triumph on US dance competition So You Think You Can Dance in 2022, where she earned the title of "America's Favourite Dancer" and made history as the first Ballroom and Latin dancer to claim victory.

Alexis has previously featured as a guest professional dancer and troupe member on the American equivalent of Strictly, Dancing With The Stars, and has taken part in the programme's US tour over the past three years.

The dancer and her high school sweetheart got married back in 2018. Just a few weeks ago, Alexis shared a heartfelt message for her husband on his birthday.

"Happy Birthday to my best friend and forever love. From high school sweethearts to nearly 7 years of marriage, life with you is my greatest gift," she posted on social media.

Alexis is paired with YouTuber George Clarke on this year's series of Strictly. The duo have consistently wowed the judges and audience with their dazzling performances. Tonight, they are set to perform a spine-chilling Cha Cha Cha to Charli XCX's Brat anthem Apple.

Meanwhile, George has revealed that his girlfriend, model Yasmin Bennett, is such a fan of his tanned appearance that he now feels under pressure to maintain his new look after Strictly. Speaking about Yasmin's support of his time on the show, he told The Sun: "She's fully behind it. She has not yet got the ’ick! Well, I hope she hasn't!"

He added: "I'm loving the spray tans, I live for two or three days a week looking unbelievably tanned and people are complimenting me, saying I look so healthy." He went on to say his girlfriend even prefers him with a tan, meaning the pressure is on to keep it up away from the dancefloor. Yasmin has been incredibly supportive of his Strictly journey and admitted that she believed in his ability more than he did ahead of the show.
