Poppy Delevingne, 38, reveals baby's gender after announcing she is pregnant with first child

Model and actress Poppy Delevingne, 38, is expecting her first child with billionaire husband Archie Keswick, hotel chain executive and a former boyfriend of Sienna Miller

Poppy Delevingne has revealed she is expecting a baby girl with billionaire partner Archie Keswick, after 'making peace' with the fact she may not become a mother.

The model and actress, 38, announced she and Archie found out they were expecting when she was taking part in London Fashion Week. During a fitting for the Burberry show, she noticed her clothes were fitting tighter than usual.

She went on to take a pregnancy test, which confirmed her suspicions. After going for routine scans, she discovered she was pregnant with a baby girl.

Her sisters Cara, 32, and Chloe, 39, were "elated" to find out they were set to be aunties to a girl, with the three of them meeting up in New York to celebrate Poppy's news. The siblings were thrilled to be welcoming their niece, with Poppy recalling how they spent the day together, with lots of chatting and "stroking" her growing bump.

Poppy admitted she thought her time to have a baby may have passed her by and in a bid to "protect" her unborn baby, Poppy and Archie didn't tell even friends and family until she was around four months. Poppy admitted she was "nervous" about her pregnancy.

The socialite told Elle UK: "It just feels like such an extraordinary privilege to be able to do this, to be able to have a baby at this age and at this time, and when it happened, I couldn't really believe it." Poppy said she had planned on not finding out the gender, but couldn't contain her excitement, adding: "Obviously, I would have been fine with either and when I was younger I always thought when I get pregnant, I wouldn't find out, but the second we got told we could find out, we did. I'm so excited. I come from all girls, we're very girl heavy. Girls are great."

She and Archie, 44, went public with their relationship in June 2024, when they enjoyed a day out at London festival BST Hyde Park. The pair partied at the event, which saw SZA supported by Sampha, before joining her property developer father Charles Delevingne, 74, at the chic Dorian restaurant in Notting Hill.

Poppy had introduced Archie to her parents the month before, with the Eton-educated billionaire described as 'the most eligible bachelor you've never heard of'. He's the son of Simon Keswick - the ex-director of multi-billion pound Hong kong conglomerate Jardine Matheson.

The group owns the luxury hotel chain Mandarin Oriental, with the Keswick family sitting on a staggering private fortune of £6.35bn, according to the Sunday Times Rich List. They also own an 18,000 acre sporting estate in Angus, Scotland, with the family reportedly handing over £100k to the Scottish Tories.

Archie is no stranger to high-profile dating, having previously been linked to actress Sienna Miller. The pair enjoyed a brief romance in 2021, and were spotted wandering around Manhattan, hand-in-hand in the sunshine. Archie, who was voted one of Tatler's top 50 eligible bachelors, was friends with Sienna for a number of years before their friendship progressed.

But they called time on their relationship, with Sienna, 43, now with model Oli Green, 28. The couple started seeing each other in 2022, and welcomed their first baby - a little girl - in December 2023. Sienna already has a 12-year-old daughter Marlowe, from her four-year relationship with actor Tom Sturridge.
